WE ARE ON TOMORROW AND WE CANNOT WAIT!!! 🥳🤩💪🏼

Last Friday we continued our latest collection of talks titled, History In The Making, with a talk from Michael on MOSES AND THE RED SEA! 🌊🤯

We learnt that GOD WILL MAKE A WAY! 🙌🏼 He is faithful to us to make a way for us through whatever it is we are facing. But He will do it in His own timing and through His own method. Not because He doesn’t love us, but because He does and He wants what is best for us! 😍 WE HAVE TO SURRENDER IT TO HIM! 🏳️ We often try to hold onto and control our situations, because that’s what feels safe! But this stops us from trusting God with it! We have to surrender it to Him. That doesn’t mean we do nothing - it means we let what we do be dictated and decided by God and His instructions 🙏🏼 HOW DO WE SURRENDER IT? 🤷🏻‍♂️ 1 - ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SITUATION! You have to be honest with yourself about what it is you’re going through! 2 - ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR OWN CAPABILITIES! You have to be real with yourself about what you can and cannot do and what you should and should not do! 3 - HUMBLE YOURSELF! Humbling yourself doesn’t mean thinking less of yourself. It means thinking of yourself less! This allows more room for us to focus on God and how much bigger and mightier He is than us! And when we keep focused on Him, we follow the way He makes through the situation, trusting Him to guide us rather than trying to do it on our own. 4 - DON’T FORGET GOD’S FAITHFULNESS! God is a good God who loves you! He will never leave you or abandon you. He has made ways for countless people through all kinds of situations before, and He will do it again! Even if you don’t have any personal examples, there are so many Biblical examples of God making a way (like Moses and the Red Sea 😉). God loves you, and He is faithful to you! 🫶🏼

FRIDAY IS CALLING!!! 📞🥳😍

Last Friday we heard from Reilly as she continued our collection of talks History In The Making, bringing a word on JOSEPH! 😇🎉

We learnt that EVEN WHEN IT DOESN’T FEEL LIKE GOD IS WITH US, HE IS! 🙌🏼 Joseph knew that even in the midst of hardship and pain, God was with him and had his best interest at heart 🤩 GOD CAN USE WHAT SEEM LIKE THE MOST RANDOM OR UNDESERVED HARDSHIPS IN OUR LIVES FOR GOOD 🔥 Joseph didn’t deserve to have the things happen to him that happened to him - he hadn’t done anything wrong! And yet God used them all for his good, turning them into an avenue for blessing people. Not just blessing Joseph, but all of Egypt! 🤯 OUR JOB IS TO TRUST AND SURRENDER TO HIM DESPITE WHAT WE ARE FACING 🤲🏼🙏🏼 God’s plans are greater than our own, and he can work all things for good. We have to trust him, and surrender ourselves to him, no matter what we have in front of us. Instead of trying to make the situation better on our own, we have to trust that God is still in control and surrender it to him! 🎊

GET KEEN! YOUTH IS ON TOMORROW!!! 🥳🤩💪🏼

Last Friday night we continued our collection of talks, History In The Making, hearing a talk from Michael on NOAH AND THE ARK! 🌊🚢

We learnt that WHEN THINGS GET DIRTY, THEY NEED CLEANING - THE WORLD WAS DIRTY (FULL OF EVIL) AND SO GOD CLEANED IT 🧼 We all have a desire for evil, or sin, that lives in our hearts. It dirties us and this breaks God’s heart. It actually hinders us from being able to have relationship with Him! 😢 NOAH WASN’T WASHED AWAY IN THE FLOOD BECAUSE HE WAS BLAMELESS AND CLEAN. HE WAS CLEAN BECAUSE HE WALKED WITH GOD! 😇🛀 When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are washed clean. Our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is restored. Our soul is clean, but we still desire sin, or evil, or dirt. And so we have to walk out our relationship with God in order to reflect outwardly the cleanliness that our soul now carries 🔥 WE BECOME MORE AND MORE LIKE JESUS BY, LIKE NOAH, WALKING WITH GOD AND WASHING OURSELVES IN HIM EVERYDAY! 👣🫧 As we walk with God, through Bible reading, prayer, worship, and just time spent in His presence, he continues to clean us and our desire for the dirty and evil things lessens. And we become a little more like Jesus 🥰

Genesis 6:9b - “…Noah walked with God.”

ARE YOU AS EXCITED FOR TOMORROW NIGHT AS WE ARE?!? 😍🔥🥳

Last Friday night we began our newest collection of talks titled History In The Making 📚 A collection all about learning the classic Bible stories and understanding that they’re not made up - they actually happened 😱 - and discovering the truth in them for us today! Michael kicked it off giving us a talk on DAVID AND GOLIATH! 🐑💪🏼

We learnt that GIANTS ARE BIG AND TAKE ALL OF OUR ATTENTION! 😲 When there is something big in front of us, we can’t help but focus on it. And it’s the same with the giants in our lives - they have all of our attention and fill us with fear, anxiety and stress! 😣 But DAVID WAS NOT AFRAID - WHY? HE KNEW HIS GOD WAS BIGGER! 🤩 David understood that God is bigger and more powerful than any giant that he would ever come across, even Goliath! And so David focused his attention on God, and His bigness, meaning there was no room for fear - only faith! 🙏🏼 WE HAVE TO WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT - KNOWING THAT JESUS ALREADY HAS THE VICTORY! 🏆 When we walk by faith, we allow God to direct our steps and we focus on his guidance. This means that the giants we can see in front of us or around us can’t dictate our path, can’t scare us into moving in another direction. We have our eyes set on Jesus, knowing that he has already won the victory on the cross, and that the battle belongs to Him! We can walk forward in confidence - being led by faith 🙌🏼

2 Corinthians 5:7 - “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

OUR END OF YEAR CHRISTMAS PARTY IS TOMORROW NIGHT!!! 😍🎄🙌🏼

Last Friday we finished off our collection of talks called Back To The Basics, with a talk from Michael on CHURCH: What about the church? ⛪️🧐

We learnt that THE CHURCH IS NOT A BUILDING, IT IS A PEOPLE!🕺 The church are God’s people, regardless of where they meet, when they meet or how they meet - the church is the people! WHEN YOU BECOME APART OF THE CHURCH YOU STEP INTO: FRIENDSHIP 🤩 The friendships we experience at church aren’t shallow. It’s a place where you experience authentic friendships that have a depth of relationship! FAMILY 🥰 The church is a family! They’re there to go through life with you - through the highs and lows, the good times and the bad times. They’re there for you through it all! HOME 🏡 Church is a place where you can feel comfortable being who you are! It is a place where you are loved and should feel welcomed home! THE BODY OF JESUS ✝️ Just like a body, the church is made up of different parts. All unique and special in their own ways, united together in one goal - to give hope to the hopeless! 🥳 MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU STEP INTO LOVE! ❤️ God has an unconditional, eternal love for everyone! It is the church’s job to show that love to everyone, those in the church and those outside of it. When people look at the church, they should see Jesus’ undying love for them!🔥

GET READY TO GET DRESSED UP FOR OUR GRAD PARTY TOMORROW NIGHT!!! 😍🕺🎓

Last Saturday night we had our All Nighter, and we continued our Back To The Basics collection, hearing a talk from Michael on SPIRIT: Who is the Holy Spirit and what does He do? 🤔 And Ps. Josh led us in a moment of being filled with the Holy Spirit! 😇

We learnt that THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT SOME VAGUE SUPERNATURAL FORCE. HE’S A PERSON - IN FACT HE IS GOD! 🙌🏼 This means that we can have a relationship with Him. As we draw closer to Him, we learn more about Him and discover that He is always there for us! HE IS THE ONE WHO COMES ALONGSIDE US TO DEFEND US, ENCOURAGE US, GUIDE US, HELP US, GIVE US WISDOM, AND LOVE US! 🥰 As we venture through life, we discover that it isn’t as easy as we may have been led to believe. But the Holy Spirit comes alongside us to assist us in any and every situation we find ourselves in, good or bad 🤩 He is the friend that we always have with us, the help we can always call on, the love that we always need! WHEN WE ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT HE PRODUCES A POSITIVE CHANGE IN US - BECAUSE OF HIM WE EXHIBIT THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT AND THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS!🔥 The fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The Holy Spirit produces more of all of these things in our lives! 🥳 He can also work through us, giving us the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, great faithfulness, miracles, healing, prophecy and more! 🎉 The Holy Spirit is God, and He loves us more than we could ever know! 🙏🏼

OUR ALL NIGHTER WAS INSANE!!! 😍🤪🔥

Last weekend we had our All Nighter and it went OFF!!! We had so much fun from Fish Volleyball to Emoji Movie Quizzes to a Cling Wrap Relay! 🥳 It was absolutely AMAZING and we can’t wait for the next one! 🙌🏼

Last Friday we continued our collection of talks, Back To The Basics, talking to us about the BIBLE: Why and how should I read the Bible? 📖🧐

We learnt that THE BIBLE IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD USED TO TEACH, CORRECT, AND POINT US TOWARDS JESUS AND HIS LOVE FOR US! 🙌🏼 Reading it tells us more about God and helps us to grow in our relationship with Him 😍 6 TIPS ON HOW TO READ YOUR BIBLE: 1 - GET A BIBLE 📚 If you don’t have one you can download the YouVersion Bible App on your phone! 2 - PICK A TIME AND PLACE ⏰ Devote a time each day to read the Bible. Make sure it’s a time without many distractions so you can focus in! 3 - DON’T FLIP AND POINT 👉🏼 Opening up your Bible to random places can lead you to some interesting scriptures which require context! 4 - CONTEXT, CONTEXT, CONTEXT 🤔 Without context we can miss the true meaning of what is being said and find ourselves very confused! 5 - ASK QUESTIONS 🙋🏻‍♂️ Find someone who can help you in your understanding by accurately answering your questions. If you don’t know someone, you can come ask us! 6 - PRAY 🙏🏼 It’s important to invite God in before we start reading, whilst we’re reading, and after we’re reading! That way we hear what God wants us to hear, and can take what we learn with us once we go! 🕺
